I want to study in Canada as an international student but I have no idea where to start please help.?

I want to study primary education to become a teacher, I will be going to university in september 2012 , I’ve looked at english universities but because for how expensive its going to be and in both ans english and Canadian citizen I’ve been thinking about studying in canada instead. I have no idea where to start looking, what is the equivalent of primary education, what universities offer the course, how much does it study in canada, will i have to pay international student fees as I don’t live in canada but still am a citizen, how much will it cost to live there, if you can help me with any of these question, please help.
